students forum was,mm, interesting since we happened to be seated plonk in clear view of the camera to the audi! and we didn't realize till halfway through which means all the stupid stuff that we were doing would not have gone unnoticed (i'm sure we were waving at the camera and other unearthly whatnots)

so....... today i went home early after geting back my utterly unmanning math results. dexter you still owes me a meal. looked through history notes , then i happened to catch Titanic(!!) showing on starmovies. then i went to watch it for the next hour and a half.

titanic is an epic movie and its really very clear why. the cinematography and the actors (not just the main cast but the supporting cast as well, especially the musicians and the crew members) reflected real emotion in such a vivid and realistic way. disbelief, fear, shock, desperation and most significantly, faith amidst the dire circumstances.

there were some scenes that really tugged on my heartstrings.

when the leader of the string quartet told his fellow musicians after they finished their final piece on the deck of the sinking ship: "Gentlemen, it has been a privilege playing with you tonight."
when an old man hugged his wife when lying together on the cabin bed as water started filling the room
when one of the rich men in the first-class suites who declined to take his place on the lifeboats said, "We are dressed in our finest, and we will go down like gentlemen."


its the only movie that was touching enough to make me tear. romantic tragedy at its best.

seeing them performing this after such a long time, it feels like it hasn't really been that long since soshi made their debut with this song, and it really reminds me of how much we all have grown in the past 2 years. mixed emotions.

haven't been up here for quite a while no thanks to prelims and such but hey better late than never! anyway august/sept was a terrible month in terms of weather! on some days the weather was total faggotry, like on some days it was exceedingly hot, and being the ghost month people were burning all sorts of stuff resulting in a depressing haze that killed my nose. mehhh

not to mention the idiots in the neighboring regions going about with their illegal logging which means BURNING DOWN THE WHOLE GODDAMN FOREST and hence the haze situation is made 24365645 times worse! well done

which brings us back to the titular concern: rain! thank god for all the heavy showers clearly its freshened up the weather quite a fair bit. not to mention its been cooler due to strong winds and the air's a lot less stale and i could sit on the balcony for a entire hour facing the wind, the light rain and the thunder. pitter-patter sounds calm me down and allow me to appreciate nature(:

prelims was.. i never really finished econs, history and lit p1, and math was an absolute disaster(again). fingers crossed. gp was sortof okay. but looking on the bright side i'm not going to fail that horribly at least for some papers i knew what i was writing.

got lured into buying clothes online again! grabbed a vest and a shirt with checkered patterns inside the sleeves and collars spending $60 in the process which was actually quite worth it., no regrets unless it doesn't fit me.

math tuition in half an hour :/
